More Adventures in the Garden!

I’ve written before about how I was going to make an attempt at gardening. I’m happy to say things have been going well. I started with herbs. I moved on to flowers (grown from seeds) and that has gone well too. I got some succulents.

The next adventure is vegetables! My gardener—actually he’s more than that, he’s a landscaper and very much an artist—is building me a raised planter for veggie. I’ll have a kitchen garden!

I plan to move some of the herbs to the planter. As for the vegetables, I have a few sweet potato vines and I’m going to try to also grow the following (I think…I’m still planning):

  • tomato
  • broccoli
  • cauliflower
  • sukima (a lot like kale)
  • collard greens
  • spinach
  • zucchini

I’ll keep you posted on how this next adventure goes!

Side note to Jennifer: Lazarus is going great! I put him in a bigger pot and he really thrived. Soon, he’s going to be planted into the garden where he’s going to grow pretty big. He’s already sprouting new aloe plants. His little purple bushy friends will be planted near him so he won’t be lonely.
